Handpan/RAV Drum Care Oil

Specially formulated protection for your instrument.

Our Handpan/RAV Drum Care Oil is a premium mineral oil blend developed specifically for stainless steel handpans. Unlike generic household or vegetable-based oils, this formula was created to protect without altering the tone, resonance, or finish of your instrument.

🌿 Why it’s different

  • Sound-safe formula: The oil absorbs into the stainless steel surface without dampening vibration or changing the timbre — ensuring your handpan continues to sound exactly as the maker intended.

  • Universal compatibility: Suitable for all stainless steel handpans, regardless of maker, finish, or colour treatment.

  • Long-lasting protection: Shields the steel from oxidative damage, colour shift, and environmental wear caused by humidity, fingerprints, and sweat.

  • Clean, non-greasy finish: Leaves the surface smooth and clean, with no sticky residue or odour.

🚫 Why not use vegetable oils

While natural oils like coconut, linseed, or olive oil may seem appealing, they are not suitable for handpans.
Vegetable oils oxidize over time, forming a sticky film that can trap dust and moisture. This layer eventually rancidifies, producing an unpleasant smell and promoting surface corrosion.
Our mineral-based formula, by contrast, remains chemically stable, providing consistent, long-term protection without degradation.

💧 How to use

  • Apply 2–3 drops of Handpan Care Oil on a clean microfiber cloth.

  • Gently wipe the entire surface of your handpan, including the bottom shell.

  • Buff lightly until evenly spread and dry to the touch.

  • Use every 2–4 weeks, or more frequently in humid environments or after each playing session.

Keep your sound pure, your steel protected

Handpans are living instruments — their tone, colour, and energy evolve with care. With regular use of Handpan Care Oil, your instrument will stay protected, visually pristine, and resonant for years to come.
